Global Eagle brings together airlines, advertisers and content creators in entirely new ways to create world-class passenger experiences that generate new business models and revenue streams.
When airlines install Global Eagle’s satellite-based service on board their fleet, they can control and brand the inflight WiFi service with GEE’s customisable portal. ‘Airtime’ becomes the central platform for passengers’ inflight experience: an entertainment gateway for building airline brand loyalty.
My responsibilities
While contacting at GEE, I worked on prototyping the CMS editor that would enable airlines to customise the Airtime entertainment portal.
In my prototype, I showed how a WYSIWIG editor would handle the page formatting.
WYSIWIG: the ability to directly manipulate the layout of a document, without having to type or remember names of layout commands (Wikipedia)
Although the UX team was based in London, I liaised daily with our stakeholders and clients in Canada.
